Calvert Library adapts to our community’s needs.
While Calvert Library circulated almost a million items last fiscal year, we’re not just about books. We have adapted our service model to include so many new services – we have significantly increased the circulation our digital materials while we’ve continued to provide essential services to people who walk through our doors.
Calvert Library inspires lifelong learning.
Public libraries are cherished for how they impact the lives of people in the community. The modern library transforms communities by teaching jobs skills, teaching technology skills, improving access to information and entertainment, and in general improving the quality of life of county residents.
Calvert Library sees an average of 1000 people a day. They visit to meet clients, to use our computers and copiers, to find a next read, to attend a class, to polish their resume, to get parenting resources, to have a 3D prototype printed, to raise their children to be readers, to create in our Makerspace, to get socialization practice for their little ones, to do genealogy research, to read the newspaper, to connect with others, to buy used books, and so much more!
