Administration Volunteer

Purpose: To help strengthen Calvert Library’s connection to the community.

Location: Calvert Library Prince Frederick

Hours Needed: Generally any time between 9am and 5pm, Mondays – Fridays

Responsibilities may include:

  • Entering events and photo sliders into eVanced, our online calendaring system
  • Entering Calvert Library calendar listings in multiple online community calendars
  • Researching event dates in the community
  • Going through bounced emails to see if we can fix them for our e-newsletter
  • Creating signs to use at Outside Events
  • Foundation Support (data entry, thank you letters, etc…)
  • Video Editing
  • Creating closed-captioning for videos or podcasts the library produces
  • Computer Skills not required for the following:
    • Filing
    • Folding
    • Cutting bookmarks
    • Shredding
    • Creating flyer packet for monthly report
    • Collating the content and filling baby bags
    • Door counting to periodically compare actual count to electronic count

Qualifications:

  • Age 16 or older
  • Computer skills are needed for some of the above
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Ability to work independently
