All of the carpet in the library – public, admin, staff, meeting room, hallway, etc. – will be replaced. The new carpet keeps our famliar color scheme but replaces our 17 year old carpet! The new carpet is carpet squares. A big advantage of carpet squares is that in the future if a section of carpet is damaged beyond repair then we can replace a section of carpet. In addition, the seams of carpet squares generally wear better than the seams of our current broadloom carpet which has served us well past its life expenctancy of 10 years.
